Our Kids in Action

A special year is upon us! Our Kids in Action is celebrating its 10th Anniversary of successfully motivating and inspiring Long Island middle school student "Ambassadors".

On December 3, 2010, thousands of our enthusiastic and bright youth will attend the Tenth Annual Our Kids in Action Youth Conference.  For this special anniversary, we will be showcasing local youth  who have contributed to their community on both local and global levels.

Through the generosity of Long Island corporate and private sponsors, the conference is offered FREE of charge to Long Island middle school students and their teachers. The conference supports school curriculums that foster character education, self-respect and leadership within the community.

Here's what you have said about the Annual Youth Conference:

Meris First, Student Government Advisor and Family and Consumer Science Teacher, Locust Valley Middle School "This year’s conference was extremely inspirational for my students. Sarah’s positive attitude is contagious. She has such a powerful message to pass on to others and my students believed in her words of wisdom.  I have several students who would love to participate in a round table discussion."

Stephanie Honig, School Counselor Mineola Middle School “The kids really enjoyed the excitement of the Kids in Action Youth Conference and we look forward to attending again next year. Thank you for having us, and thank you for providing this great day for our kids.”

Nancy Poulis, Patchogue-Medford Schools "Thanks again for the the wonderful experience you gave my students."

Andrea Nordquist, Assistant Principal of St. Martin de Porres Marianist School “The students and faculty of St. Martin de Porres Marianist School just wanted to say thank you for a wonderful conference. The goodie bags were a great hit and the booklet this year was a nice added touch.”
