Kids in Action, is a not for profit charitable 501(c) (3) organization. Kids In Action partners with the business community, elected officials, civic leaders and educators to promote character education that fosters respect, responsibility and leadership skills for middle school students from all across Long Island. Kids In Action provides the necessary tools and a platform to encourage the interaction and reaction between students and role models.

Our goal is to help young people become respectful, responsible, caring citizens with good judgment and integrity – necessary attributes for tomorrow’s workforce and community leaders.

KIA was established in 2000 by Action Long Island (www.actionlongisland.org) Since it's inception, KIA has been hosting an annual youth conference that gathers middle school students and faculty from schools across Long Island. The conference supports and encourages the leaders of tomorrow by providing examples of personal success, achievement, and character. Past conference speakers have included Mattie Stepanek, former NASA astronaut Guy Gardner, authors Brooke Ellison, and world reknowned motivational speakers Ed Gerety and Bobby Petrocelli.
